    • I've got a 95 Accord EX that I've put a Cold air intake on and boosted the exhaust/tailpipe from 1.5" to 2.5" diameter pipes. Also removed the resonator. Previous owner took great care of it. In last 2 years, new suspension, battery, distributer, starter, spark plugs/cables, intake/exhaust system, brakes and rotors, fuel filter, trans flush, synth oil changes. I have kept up the care and improved it a little. Is this car worth keeping up and restoring a little further or even perhaps repainting? It's got 312k miles, I've had it over a year reliably. Thinking of putting a newer/better radiator but I'm not sure what to keep an eye out for or replace first.

The scion tc's are terrible cars look up scion repair history and you'll see the real reason why Toyota stop producing them crappy plastic interiors that break alot. you'll see alot of them on tow trucks the engines have shitty coils and wiring and what controls the fuel pump suck too

  • All but the last year of Fiero had a Chevette front suspension and a GM front wheel drive engine and suspension in the rear. This made it economical to design and build but limited its sporting capability. In typical GM bean counter irony, Fiero finally got its own proper suspension (and 5-speed manual for the V6 in lieu of 4-speed) for its last year of production (1988 IIRC). GM is the shining example of great concepts that were poorly executed.

  • Fiero was supposed to be less than $6k when introduced was $8k+ when it showed up at the dealers. Fenders were supposed to be detachable so you could customize your car. Rarely happened tho' some folks built really cute ferrari knockoffs that looked nicer than the real 308GTSI. Was kinda considered a clunker car in socal where I grew up. Funny thing was that for years the Fiero Club showed up for the parade in a norcal town I frequented. Used to go just to see them. Probably eventually they got chased off by the liberal yakyaks there but it was funny to see them while it lasted. Kinda like seeing the clowns blow through town and then MOON everyone!

I mean you can still find "cheap" early 2000's models (probably not for under $1000 or $2000 as they hold their value pretty good after 10 years and don't depreciate much after that like some vehicles do until they are worth nothing).

I'm not a road rager, but I do have a heavy foot flexing the engine all the time. It's also extremely zippy and swift for a "sedan". Best 20k deal package I've ever made.

  • I have a 2995 scion xb. A very utility car and decent mileage. After 2006, Scion completely changed the model. The new one was bigger heavier and got 8mpg less per gallon. Scion sales dropped after 2006. During the 3 years of Scion growth, Kia introduced the Soul and Nissian introduced the Cube. Soul is an excellent selling car. The Cube is still in production as well. Seemes like Toyota killed its own market with its stupid decision. If the original design was out there, I would but it and I am the opposite demographic of what it was supposed to appeal to. Im am losing a LOT of respect for Toyota with their stupid decisions as well as taking no responsibility for faulty throttle valves which caused unintended acceleration I will stick with Honda now.

  • 0:25 - You *DO NOT WANT THAT CAR FOR CARRYING ANYTHING!* Good lord if you hit something - like a curb or speed bump too fast - everything in the trunk is going to be in the front seats as in THROUGH the driver! A 20lb box shifting forward going from 40mph to 30mph rapidly becomes a 100lb object. Without something - like a back seat - to keep it in place it could injure, or KILL, the driver. And with a car that old you'll be more prone to take less care about hitting things - curbs or potholes - too fast. If that becomes a haularound vehicle, at least install a barrier behind the front seats so that toolbox doesn't become a headstone. 6:40 - Fieros were discontinued not because of their quality, but because they were rolling death traps. There were so many lawsuits concerning the vehicle the manufacturer threw up their arms and ran. Three kids from my high school died in one of these things.
