    • The only reason Honda is the most stolen car in the world is because you can steel a 2021 Honda civic, take out all the parts, like Engine, transmission, suspension etc. Install it on any other Honda vehicle from any year going back as far as 1990. They are LEGO parts...

  • I had owned 2 Integra sedan before, stylish and very spacious, I missed them badly. Now I owned an American-made 2001 Accord (Got a 1 on the first digit of the VIN number!) All repairs are related to wear and tear and abuse from previous owner(s) they all cheap and easy DIY fixes. The only defect I can find are faulty Fuel pump relay and HVAC control switches due to poor quality soldering tin, I easily fixed them with reflowing the board.

  • Of all the vehicles I've owned through the years, my Hondas have had the lowest overall cost of ownership. As a mechanic, the last thing I want to do is get off work and work on my daily drivers. Maintain them and they will treat you right. After 7 hondas through the years, and many miles and abuse, I approve this message!

  • I had a chevy silverado with 380k and the original engine and transmission. It did have other things break while I owned it for over 10 years. So not all USA cars are junk. USA makes good trucks that are capable for towing large trailers. BUUUUTTTTT..... My daily is a 2017 crv awd. I love it but it needs more power. 33 mpg is awesome. But the 0-60 is like an hour...... It is however very reliable as are all hondas.

  • 2:35 "They have been using turbochargers longer than most, starting in the 80s!" Ignoring that GM also did in the 80s, as did Chrysler. Oh, ford had turbo cars in early 80s too. I believe Toyota had a popular turbo car. Nissan had turbocharged Zs back in the 70s. That doesnt get into assortment of the European and brands. Heck, the US automakers were selling turbo cars back in the 60s. Honda was pretty late to the turbo game really. They were one of the first tiny turbo cars is about it, and that was only to make more oomph out of a kei car.

Also a 1983 honda nighthawk motorcycle, though that wasn’t bought new but im assuming its like 80% original aside from fluids brakes and tires. Great vehicles, im never going to another car maker unless i need a truck.

  • Scotty- my Honda story: bought last year, 1999 Civic EX/2-dr., manual, @ 111,000; original owner. After the usual deferred maintenance fixed (timing belt/water pump, rotors, etc. I had the following happen to me twice in the past two weeks: the car suddenly accelerated, un-commanded, on it's own. It sounded like I was doing 60- in 2nd. gear, but I wasn't even close. Power brakes died also during this so had to really put the brake pedal thru the floor to stop. Happened again last week- this time w/ gas pedal floored. Scared the hell out of me. Bottom-line; repair/diagnosis was that I had a (small) leak in my radiator, the coolant level was inadequate- and that affected the vacuum pressure which affected a sensor, which in turn affected another sensor that was part of the throttle body unit, and it was somehow affected. The 2nd. time?; same sudden acceleration, but my fix: all I did was replace the radiator cap/$8. The first time?; cost me more than $350- and $200 of that was the tow truck! So- ANYBODY, have you heard of such a thing? The two mechanics/61 years total experience- hadn't either. And me?; never. I still don't get it. It was a vacuum issue, brought about by inadequate coolant and a defective radiator cap- that wasn't sealing. And that turned my ride into a rocket-ship- and it wasn't fun, or cheap.

  • First car I bought out of high school was a used Honda. First car I bought out of college was a new Honda (CRX). To date I've owned about 15 to 18 of them, plus a few other brands too. They have all been good but Honda began to be fun to drive after about 1982. Honda has always been a little weak on brakes (rotor warp or brake noise in the earlier days) and automatic transmissions (changing the fluid early and often boosts longevity). Best Honda I've owned? Probably the 1994 GS 6-speed manual sedan, but the 2015 Accord K24 is a very solid and fun to drive car too. The worst Honda out of the bunch was probably the 1998 Civic HX, which handled more like a Buick than a Civic. The generation Civic before (1992-1995) and after (2001-2005) were much more fun to drive.

  • Honda is the best car company besides Mazda in my own opinion for sure, Honda blows both Nissan and Toyota into the water except for the Ridgeline which Nissan and Toyota have an edge to them on that because it’s not a traditional pickup truck unfortunately, but anyways my mom has had 3 Honda Accords all have been decent except the 2nd one had a defective transmission but the 3rd one like the 1st one got really old, that after the ac quit working after all the repairs including alternator and starter she had a 2016 Nissan Sentra for a brief, didn’t like it at all, horrible on the transmission because of hesitation in the cold weather not because it was failing and the ac didn’t work right, and the engine also hesitated as well, now she has a 2012 Honda Civic Lx no complaints at all, I have a 2015 Honda Civic Lx my first Honda only had to replace the oil twice and it has under 50,000 miles still going strong, so with that being said Honda is the best car company other than Mazda on reliability, Toyota is decent but overpriced for there cars, when Mazda is a lot nicer for the same price, and Subaru is expensive but yes there reliability is stellar from my understanding as well, Nissan reliability sucks on the sedans, but the suvs and trucks are definitely decent for sure, Mitsubishi is extremely unreliable for sure, Kia and Hyundai is hit or miss reliability but definitely more reliable than they used to be, and unfortunately Ford, Gm, and FCA reliability is trash, Gm is only decent on suvs and trucks, Ford is trash in general now, and FCA only has Cummins and ZFH or whatever that transmission is decent but it’s not Allison or Aisin decent though. 🤔

  • My first new car was a 2002 Civic. Changed the oil every 3,000. Did the timing belt/ water pump at about 90,000. Traded it in after 14 years and 199,870 miles. It was overheating as I pulled into the dealer due to a leaky radiator. They gave me $500 for it. They would have given me more but I had an accident in it at 20,000 miles and they said that made it worthless to them. Bought a CRV for a year and hated it. I now have a Rav4 which I love and will be keeping it to 200,000 miles or more. I take better care of the Rav4 than I did the Civic.

  • Been driving Honda cars for over 10 years now. Owned a 2011 civic and now run a 2016 hrv. I’ve had zero problems with either model.

  • Honda's the best! From the time I got my first CT 70 and the many reasons I continued to buy Honda motorcycles and cars. They are top notch. Now only if they would build a real Pick Up Truck. The Ridgeline is a joke mini van with a small bed. You can't beat Honda.
